Fourth COVID-19 Wage Subsidy payment opens today
The Government have announced the fourth round of the COVID-19 wage subsidy.
Applications for the third COVID-19 Wage Subsidy August 2021 closed yesterday on Thursday 30 September 2021.
New applications for COVID-19 Wage Subsidy August 2021 #4 will open at 9am, Friday 1 October 2021 and will close at 11.59pm Thursday 14 October.
Applying for Wage Subsidy August 2021 #4
- Businesses that applied for Wage Subsidy #3 and who meet all eligibility criteria for Wage Subsidy #4, can apply for another wage subsidy payment two weeks after their previous applications
- Work and Income will email businesses who have received Wage Subsidy #3 to let them know when they can apply for Wage Subsidy #4
- Businesses that didnt apply for Wage Subsidy #3 are welcome to apply for Wage Subsidy #4 from 1 October, providing they meet all the eligibility criteria.

Resurgence Support payment
The Government announced that a second payment under the RSP scheme will be made available to eligible businesses and organisations which experience a 30% decline in revenue due to the increased alert levels, for the period starting 8 September 2021 and ending immediately before all areas of New Zealand return to alert level 1. Applications for the second payment opened on 17 September.
